Academic Support/America Reads: Tutoring in adult literacy as a supplement to our English as a Second Language classes. 3.0 GPA in all Sandburg classes, faculty recommendation and good people skills a must.Admissions / Financial Aid: Join our friendly team in providing excellent customer service! Responsibilities include making reminder calls for appointments, answering phones, scheduling new student appointments using Datatel and Outlook, checking in students for their daily appointments, as well as filing, scanning, and shredding documents. You'll also assist with a variety of additional tasks as needed. Familiarity with Microsoft programs is a plus and offers a great opportunity to further develop your skills. // Support students on their financial aid journey by assisting with general office duties such as electronic filing, scanning, answering phones, and welcoming students at the front desk. You'll help make appointments and assist students in completing the FAFSA. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping others and learning more about financial aid processes.Athletic Department: Possible takes include filming, videotaping, streaming, tracking statistics during games or practices, laundry operations, equipment operations, assisting coaches in practices with various tasks, assisting the athletics director with administrative/promotional/special event tasks and athletics facilities game or practice preparation, breakdown, or maintenance.Automotive: General cleaning and assisting with tool disbursement.Career and Technical Education (CTE) Daytime Support: Assist with CTE office activities and/or work in the CTE tool rooms, organizing, performing inventory and other similar duties as assigned. This position will primarily work during a variety of daytime hoursCareer and Technical Education (CTE) Evening Support: Assist with CTE Department activities and events. Complete work in the tool rooms organizing, performing inventory, and cleaning of shop areas, assisting with tool disbursement, and other similar duties as assigned. This position will primarily work during a variety of evening hours. This position provides services to the community at large, working for the coordinator of diversity and schools/non-profit organizations within the 518 district area. Special emphasis is given to participation in literacy tutoring and community service activities by federal work-study students. Current participating schools include Steele School, Lombard Middle School, Churchill Junior High, RAES East - Galesburg, RAES WEST - Monmouth, Monmouth-Roseville High School, etc. (Must be a current member of Men of Distinction (MOD)/Women of Character (WOC) or willing to become one.) (Must be of good character and available afternoons, evenings and occasionally on weekends as needed.)Roads/grounds: Light mowing, trimming, watering, washing vehicles, painting.Student Engagement / Welcome Center: Get involved in planning and promoting student events! You’ll help with marketing, setting up orientation sessions, distributing signage, preparing event materials, and supporting the campus pantry. Responsibilities also include sending bulk emails, mailings, and providing general office support. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in enhancing student life and assisting with special projects throughout the year. // Be a part of the first impression! Duties include leading campus tours, making phone calls to prospective students, helping with event setup, and supporting general Welcome Center operations. Occasionally, you’ll assist with preparing recruitment materials and handling mailings.
