Sandburg provides a financial aid award to offset the Out of District/State Tuition when the following conditions are met:

Submit the Request Waiver for Out of District Tuition prior to the first day of the semester.
Submit a lease meeting the following criteria:
- Lease must be signed by BOTH the student and landlord.
- Lease must be signed at least 30 days prior to the first day of the semester.
- Lease must be for a residence within Community College District 518 in order to waive out-of-district/state tuition.
Tuition is billed in two components: In District Rate $178.00 and Out of District/State Rate $265.00/$295.00. If approved, the student will remain classified, as Out of District/State, however, a credit will be applied to cover the Out of District/State portion of charges. The student is responsible to pay all charges until appropriate documentation is received.
