Academic Support/America Reads: Tutoring in adult literacy as a supplement to our English as a Second Language classes. 3.0 GPA in all Sandburg classes, faculty recommendation and good people skills a must.Admissions: General customer service, making reminder calls for appointments, answering phones and making new student appointments in Datatel and Outlook, check in students for their appointments for the day, filing, scanning, shredding other duties as assigned. Knowledge of Microsoft programs preferred.Athletic Department: Possible takes include filming, videotaping, streaming, tracking statistics during games or practices, laundry operations, equipment operations, assisting coaches in practices with various tasks, assisting the athletics director with administrative/promotional/special event tasks and athletics facilities game or practice preparation, breakdown, or maintenance.Automotive: General cleaning and assisting with tool disbursement.Career and Technical Education (CTE): Assist with CTE office activities and/or work in the CTE tool rooms, organizing, performing inventory and other similar duties as assigned.Financial Aid: General office duties include electronic filing, customer service and phones. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.Fine Arts/Ceramic Lab: Knowledge of ceramics preferred, mix glazes, load and unload kiln, clean the lab.Fitness Center: Assist fitness center users with logging/checking into the facility and perform cleaning duties; job provides CPR training/certification if not already certified.Foundation: Assist with Foundation and alumni event preparation and complete basic administrative tasks such as electronic filing, data entry and updates in the Foundation's donor management software. Perform Customer service-related duties such as assisting visitors, handling inquiries, providing administrative support and promoting the Foundation to students across the entire Sandburg community. Serve as a representative for the Future Alumni Network (FAN), and play a crucial role in fostering a culture of lifelong engagement with Sandburg after graduation. Experience with Microsoft 365, Adobe and Canva preferred.Help Desk: Assist students at the Help Desk. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and experience using Moodle and mySandburg, online experience a plus!Human Resources: General office duties to include physical/electronic filing, scanning and shredding of documents and customer service. Experience with Microsoft Office products a plus.Library/LRC: General office - customer service, knowledge of Microsoft programs, shelve books.Marketing/Public Relations: Photography, videography, graphic design and writing for the college's marketing department (skills preferred but not required).Office of Diversity & Inclusion community service/literacy tutoring: Community service work-study students are appointed job positions working in one of our rewarding community service or literacy tutoring jobs. This position provides services to the community at large, working for the coordinator of diversity and schools/non-profit organizations within the 518 district area. Special emphasis is given to participation in literacy tutoring and community service activities by federal work-study students. Current participating schools include Steele School, Lombard Middle School, Churchill Junior High, RAES East - Galesburg, RAES WEST - Monmouth, Monmouth-Roseville High School, etc. (Must be a current member of Men of Distinction (MOD)/Women of Character (WOC) or willing to become one.) (Must be of good character and available afternoons, evenings and occasionally on weekends as needed.)Roads/grounds: Light mowing, trimming, watering, washing vehicles, painting.Student Services - Recruiting: Campus tour guide, phone calls, data entry, assist with activities for prospective students.Student Services - Student Life: Work with Marketing to create materials; assist with campus events; Microsoft Office skills; graphic design skills a plus.TRiO Student Support: General office duties, including greeting visitors, handling phone calls, paperwork and computer-based tasks. Prefer to hire a TRiO student.
